Are you moving into a commercial space, making alterations, or just changing how you'll use it? You'll need a building permit. Depending on your project, you may also need trade permits. Use the navigation menu to find out more about each step.

Pay your fees
Permitting fees help offset the cost of reviewing plans, inspecting projects, and managing code. These fees help keep projects safe and sustainable across the city.
You’ll pay fees twice in the process:
- After your application passes prescreen.
- After we approve your application, before we issue your permit.
To pay your fees:
- Log in to DevHub ↗.
- Select View or Pay Fees.
- Enter your IVR ↗ or Permit/Application Number to search.
- Verify your choice of permit and click Select.
- Select the bills you'll pay and click Pay Selected Bills.
