Get an inspection

All permitted projects will need at least one inspection to get approved. Some projects will need inspections during the work, as well. This page tells you what you need to know about inspections for bathrooms.

Here's the basic process:

  1. You start work on your project.

Your project may need inspections at different stages of construction. So be sure to pay attention to your specific requirements.

  2. You schedule an inspection.

You'll do this by calling 503-823-7000 or by scheduling on DevHub (under Inspections).

  3. The inspector will show up and review the work.

They'll communicate any issues to you in writing. If you need to make changes, you'll do that and then schedule another inspection.

  4. Once all the work passes inspection, you're done!

Your permit is finalized. It's time to enjoy your new bathroom.
