When communicating with customers about payment for land use reviews:
- Messages will only come from an email address ending in @portlandoregon.gov.
- We never ask for payment via wire transfer.
- We will only ask for payment to be submitted in one of four ways:
- Via our online portal, Development Hub PDX (https://devhub.portlandoregon.gov/ ↗).
- If you have an approved fee reduction, please submit payment via https://www.portlandoregon.gov/bds/appeals/payment/ ↗ or call the Portland Permitting & Development cashier at 503-823-5161.
- Via mail, with a check made payable to the City of Portland, to:
Portland Permitting and Development
Attn: Land Use Services
1900 SW Fourth Avenue, Suite 5000
Portland, OR 97201 - In person with the cashier at the Development Services Center, located at 1900 SW Fourth Avenue. More information on the availability of cashier services can be found at Portland.gov/DSC ↗.
If you receive a suspicious email message about payment of land use review fees:
- Do not open any attachments or click on any links.
- Call the land use planner assigned to your project or call Portland Permitting & Development at 503-823-7300 to alert us to this concern and verify whether we need payment or further information. We will provide you with safe ways to submit payment or more information if needed.
- You are encouraged to file a complaint ↗ with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
