Office to Residential conversions and seismic upgrade options
- Review decisions from last meeting for vulnerable building types and seismic upgrade requirements
- Consider if diaphragm especially sheathing requirements from ASCE 41 checklist be a required check
- Consider a proposal to exempt 1 story buildings (except URM's) from most seismic upgrade requirements (maybe limit checks to basic checklist items only?)
- Should Reinforced Masonry buildings be vulnerable type (other than wall to roof attachments for flexible diaphragms?)
- Review requirements and seismic hazard related to liquefaction hazard,
- Develop list of non-structural items
- Propose timeframe for sunsetting of the Alternate seismic improvement standards
