Middle Housing Land Divisions

A middle housing land division (MHLD) allows you to divide a property into separate lots when developing certain housing types. This process is faster and has fewer approval requirements than a standard land division.

The final plat shows the final surveyed layout of the land division, including all lots, tracts, easements, and rights-of-way.

This is the final step in your Middle Housing Land Division (MHLD) project.

Submit your Final Plat application after the Preliminary Plan is approved.

Before Final Plat approval, the following items must be completed:

  • The County Surveyor must review the final plat survey.
  • Construction must be underway.
  • Required inspections must be approved.
  • An as-built survey showing buildings and underground services must be submitted.

The new lots are officially created when the approved final plat is recorded.
