TEMPORARY EXEMPTIONS AND SUSPENSIONS:

From August 15, 2025 – September 30, 2028, permits for newly created housing units may be exempt from system development charges (SDCs) under certain conditions. Learn more about those exemptions and whether they may apply to your project by reading our Temporary SDC exemptions ↗ page. 

From October 24, 2025 - January 1, 2029, the City will temporarily suspend certain rules that apply to residential and commercial projects that add to, or alter, existing developments. These rule suspensions impact street tree planting; street improvements, such as to sidewalks, curbs, and ramps; seismic evaluations; and site upgrades.
